About
I work where technical accuracy meets narrative clarity—so value is clear and readers take action.
We ask for Nan for our strategic writing projects.
—Barb Roll, former Microsoft Editor in Chief
What is narrative architecture?
AI-generated copy is often too eager to please for technical audiences, and sophisticated readers increasingly recognize false notes. I call what I do narrative architecture because content problems aren't necessarily writing problems. They're structural problems I've been addressing for years: unclear audience, hand-wavy claims, inconsistent terminology, and organization unsuited to an asset's purpose.
Anyone can generate decent content today. But what if it falls short? I'm the human in the loop who can diagnose why, and fix it.
Nanette is enlightening, smart, and creative. Her knack for design, technical savvy, and sense of humor make her a pleasure to work with.

Working principles
- Listen first. Understand the audience, intent, and proof before developing a clear through-line and draft.
- Assess claims. Ensure every promise is supported and appropriately scoped.
- Unify voices. Reconcile input from multiple authors into consistent language and pacing.
- Deliver impact. Create content that resonates with the audience and drives action.
What you get when we work together
A strong story that the whole team can defend. Easier review cycles. Less churn. And content that sounds like a smart, helpful human wrote it as a stakeholder recently told me.
Best fit projects
Technical marketing with a high accuracy bar, messaging foundations, executive narratives, and brand voice assets.
Not my focus
High-volume social posting, trend-chasing copy, or programming documentation (been there, done that).
Thanks Nanette — wonderful writing as always.
—John Musci, former Microsoft Senior Content Strategist
